Trying to Insert Images From File Location into PowerApp

Hello PowerApp Community!

I am trying to input images from a network location at my company into my PowerApp. I've been able to populate a photo into my SharePoint List, however, when I try and use "ThisItem" to get a row with populated images, the image shows in edit view but does not show when another user tries to access my PowerApp. Is there a workaround to this issue? I've tested a random public photo (i.e. a public html link to a photo of a tree) and it worked so I figure it has something to do with the network the file is being pulled from so therefore I am looking for a workaround.

Thank you kindly for your time!

Re: Trying to Insert Images From File Location into PowerApp

Solved! I ended up building a Picture Library on SharePoint and linking the photos that way. Previously I had tried to use a "Document Library" instead of a "Picture" one and was unsuccessful, but this solved the issue for me.

Re: Trying to Insert Images From File Location into PowerApp

Hello!

Does the user in question have read rights to the SharePoint List - can they reach the list directly and see the items?

I was a bit concerned when you said network location - but I guess you meant a SharePoint List rather than a physical network location?

Cheers,

ManCat

Re: Trying to Insert Images From File Location into PowerApp

Thank you for your response! For context:  The images are loaded into SharePoint in a "Picture" column and the images are linked from a secure File Location. All the users do have access to both the file location as well as the SharePoint List though. I also tried uploaded the images into a SharePoint Picture Library and trying to link those pictures from the library to the corresponding items in my SharePoint List before trying to use them in my PowerApp but that didn't work either unfortunately.
