[URGENT] Error Opening File - Cannot read property 'autoPointerViewState' of null.

I get the following error when opening my app to edit: "Error Opening File - Cannot read property 'autoPointerViewState' of null."  I have tried rolling back to a previous version which allowed me to open the file, but after I edit, saved and published it again, the error returned the next time I opened it to edit.

Are you using the standard online editor in the browser or are you attempting to use a different PowerApps editor?

Hi @pete_garvey89 ,

Please try to clean your browser's cache, update it to latest version.

Or try another browser.

Can you try the following and report back?

1. Open chrome in incognito and see if you still see the issue.

2. If incognito works, try clearing the cookie and cache and see if the problem is resolved.

Here's a similar issue that may help you:

If the problem still exists, please ask for help here:

I am using the standard online editor.

Try below or ask your admin to try the below:

  1. Navigate to
  2. Select your environment, in particular the one hosting the app with the viewstate related issue.
  3. Does it say there's a CDS database provisioned? If so, is the version or later?
    1. Is there an option to upgrade the database somewhere on this screen? If so, it may help to upgrade the database.

Thanks for the reply -

The error occurs in both explorer and chrome (I use chrome by default)

In chrome under incognito mode, the error occurs as well.
