Unable to FILTER on SharePoint Lookup column

Hi Power Apps Community,

I am currently creating a form with two pages. On the first page, the user will select a particular department (from a drop down control) which would then filter the result which is on the second page.

Issue: The drop down value from page one is a field from List1. The Gallery is made up of field from List2. List2 has a lookup to a value in List1. Using the formula below, I am unable to get the filtering to work.

Filter(SpList, DropDown.SelectedText.Value = 'LookUpField')

Is there any limitations with using a FILTER function on a LookUp field in SharePoint?

I would really appreciate any assistance.

Thank you in advance.

Update. I managed to get this to work.

Filter(SpList, 'LookUpField'.Value = DropDown.SelectedText.Value)

Seems as though I had to add '.Value' for the lookup value.
