I have a custom SharePoint list PowerApp that I am unable to import to a new SP list, following your blog.
I have attached the updated PowerApp export.
The new list id is: 9f8a7970-5760-4b14-addb-bac73a9a8f16
The list is named CC
The new list has the same content type as the original list it was built on, and is even in the same site.
When I try to import I just get the "Something went wrong. Please try again later message".
I am trying to import this PowerApp to a new list in the same site because the custom PowerApp form doesnt seem to open on the SP list I built it on. I built the app, published and when I go to add a new item or edit an item all I see is the default SP form for the list. I went to the list settings and try to change the Form Settings to use a PowerApp form, but the radio button is disabled for PowerApps. It does have the link "Customize in PowerApps" underneath, when I click on the link it brings me to the same app I have built (same thing happens when I click "Customize forms" from the list page itself.
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
Hi @fatjosh35 ,
Have you configured same data structure for your Target List as your source list?
Please also consider take a try to achieve your needs, based on the following blog:
I previously tried to just use the same content type as the original list, now I also tried using the list template to create a new list on the same site but that did not work either.
Does it matter that I am trying to move the app to a list in the same site?
Hi @fatjosh35 ,
Have you configured the data structure of your Target SP List as the same as your Source SP List?
Based on the issue that you mentioned, I think the SP Site may be the factor. Please consider move your Custom Form app package into another SP Site (not include the source SP List), then check if the issue is solved.
The solution I provided above is used to Export/Import package custom form app across different tenants, and the Source List must have same name as your Target List, so it could not be used to export/import within same SP Site.
