Hello,
I have a Power App that is embedded into a Power BI report that I'm unable to load the Edit screen for in order to add new forms, update text-boxes, add buttons, etc. Below are the steps that I'm following with screenshots:
1.) When I open the Power BI report, I select "Edit" from the ellipsis button of the Power App that is embedded. The below screenshot shows a window pop-up which is establishing a session to open the Power App itself(edit mode) within the Power App service through the Internet Browser.
2.) I click "Ok" in the above screenshot and a Internet Browser window opens, as expected, and attempts to load the Power App that I'm trying to edit. The below screenshot shows what's happening while the Power App, that I'm trying to edit, trys to load in the Internet Browser. This "Getting things ready..." and the Internet tab that's opened actually reloads/refreshes three times before the loading finishes.
3.) After the "Getting things ready..." and the Internet tab that's opened reloads/refreshes three times, the below screenshot is what finally loads but there is nothing for me to edit. I don't see my Power App opened in edit mode for me to add new forms, buttons, etc.
Any ideas why might this be?
Things to Consider
1) Following the above steps, I've been able to open and edit the Power App while in the office back in early March while connected directly to the company network. However, the Edit Mode of the Power App didn't load initially the first time but would load after 3, 4 or 5 attempts following the above steps. I would have to close the Internet Browser window, then back out and close my Power BI report and then repeat the above steps. I would have to do this 4 or 5 times until the Edit Mode of the Power App successfully loaded for me to add new forms, add buttons, etc. Since I'm working remote, perhaps this might be causing the odd behavior.
2) The version of the Power BI Desktop I'm using is......Version: 2.81.5831.821 64-bit (May 2020). I know there's a newer version to install but I wouldn't think this would make a difference but it's possible.
3) The division I'm working for was part of Company A before being sold to Company B. Now, Company B is going through the process of splitting/migrating systems and platforms away from Company A so everything is completely separated between the two companies. During this transition, the users of Company B have two Microsoft logins temporarily; one is GlobalID@CompanyA.com and the other one is GlobalID@CompanyB.com. (Is it possible that these two Microsoft account logins are creating confusion behind-the-scene and that's why the Edit Mode of the Power App doesn't load at all?)
Ultimately, what I'm trying to do is migrate the Power App that's embedded in the Power BI report from the @CompanyA.com Microsoft tenant/platform and move it over to the @CompanyB.com Microsoft tenant/platform. I know you can export the Power App into a zip file and upload it to the new Microsoft tenant/platform(@CompanyB.com) but because this Power App is embedded into the Power BI report with Power BI columns feeding into the Power App, this makes the task more challenging as this Power App isn't stand-alone. I'm thinking I will have to rebuild the Power App from scratch under the @CompanyB.com Microsoft tenant/platform instead of somehow migrating the existing Power App without rebuilding it.
I haven't done this sort of task before so this all new to me. Perhaps the fact that the Power App is embedded into Power BI with report columns feeding into the Power App makes the task impossible to easily migrate the Power App based on the underlying architecture of how these two tools integrate. In the end it might just be easier to rebuild the Power App from scratch.

I performed the following with no luck. However, perhaps the screenshots and observations might offer up some clues to what is going on.
1.) I logged out of both Microsoft accounts so I wasn't signed into either one before trying to edit the Power App.
2.) I opened up an Chrome window in Incognito mode. I closed all Chrome windows except the Incognito window.
3.) I performed a search in the Incognito window to "make" it the active window. The idea behind this is for the Power App to open in Edit-Mode and do so through this Incognito window that I "made" active.
4.) On my desktop, I opened up the Power BI report containing the embedded Power App. I confirmed that I'm signed in under my @CompanyB.com account which is the new Microsoft tenant platform that my company is transitioning over to from @CompanyA.com. (The Power App I already imported into the new tenant @CompanyB.com)
5.) On the Power App visual, I click the ellipsis button and select Edit. The below window appears:
6.) When I click the "OK" button, a regular Chrome window opens but doesn't open in the Incognito window that I "made" active that I did in step 3. The below window appears and then asks to authenticate.
7.) When click "Authenticate", the below window appears. I select the "Use another account" option and enter my other account that ends with @oneclarios.com as this is the new Microsoft tenant/platform that we're transitioning to and where this Power App exists.
8.) Next, another window appears asking to authenticate again.
9.) I click "Authenticate" and now I'm being prompted to enter my credentials for my @oneclarios.com account.
10.) I enter my password and the below window opens with an "Environment not found" error message. The stack trace/details of the error message says it can't find a "default" environment in the tenant. I might be wrong but it seems like some system configuration behind-the-scenes didn't update correctly when I export and uploaded the Power App(zipped package) to the new Microsoft tenant/platform(@oneclarios.com). It's like the process is trying to find a system configuration that doesn't exist in the new Microsoft tenant/platform. (This is where I begin to think that I need to re-build this Power App from scratch in the new Microsoft tenant/platform.)
11.) When I click "Close" in the above screenshot, then the below loads. The top ribbon that shows the titles "Power Apps", "Environment Clarios (default)", Setting gear, etc. has a slightly different appearance than the screenshot shown in Step 10 above. The ribbon in screenshot in Step 10 shows "Environment Clarios (default)(orga87a4c58). Maybe this observation doesn't matter but it's something that I noticed.
I'll keep trying a couple more times but I'm not sure what else to do before rebuilding the Power App from scratch. I appreciate any insight/guidance into this issue.

With so many new Community members joining us each week, we'll also review a few of our "best practices" so you know just "how" the Community works, so make sure to watch the News & Announcements each week for the latest and greatest Tuesday Tips! This Week: All About Subscriptions & Notifications We don't want you to a miss a thing in the Community! The best way to make sure you know what's going on in the News & Announcements, to blogs you follow, or forums and galleries you're interested in is to subscribe! These subscriptions ensure you receive automated messages about the most recent posts and replies. Even better, there are multiple ways you can subscribe to content and boards in the community! (Please note: if you have created an AAD (Azure Active Directory) account you won't be able to receive e-mail notifications.) Subscribing to a Category When you're looking at the entire category, select from the Options drop down and choose Subscribe. You can then choose to Subscribe to all of the boards or select only the boards you want to receive notifications. When you're satisfied with your choices, click Save. Subscribing to a Topic You can also subscribe to a single topic by clicking Subscribe from the Options drop down menu, while you are viewing the topic or in the General board overview, respectively. Subscribing to a Label Find the labels at the bottom left of a post.From a particular post with a label, click on the label to filter by that label. This opens a window containing a list of posts with the label you have selected. Click Subscribe. Note: You can only subscribe to a label at the board level. If you subscribe to a label named 'Copilot' at board #1, it will not automatically subscribe you to an identically named label at board #2. You will have to subscribe twice, once at each board. Bookmarks Just like you can subscribe to topics and categories, you can also bookmark topics and boards from the same menus! Simply go to the Topic Options drop down menu to bookmark a topic or the Options drop down to bookmark a board. The difference between subscribing and bookmarking is that subscriptions provide you with notifications, whereas bookmarks provide you a static way of easily accessing your favorite boards from the My subscriptions area. Managing & Viewing Your Subscriptions & Bookmarks To manage your subscriptions, click on your avatar and select My subscriptions from the drop-down menu. From the Subscriptions & Notifications tab, you can manage your subscriptions, including your e-mail subscription options, your bookmarks, your notification settings, and your email notification format. You can see a list of all your subscriptions and bookmarks and choose which ones to delete, either individually or in bulk, by checking multiple boxes. A Note on Following Friends on Mobile Adding someone as a friend or selecting Follow in the mobile view does not allow you to subscribe to their activity feed. You will merely be able to see your friends’ biography, other personal information, or online status, and send messages more quickly by choosing who to send the message to from a list, as opposed to having to search by username.
