I've been wanting to test / play around with connecting a Power App to our company Project Online site, in one instance so that I can show a list of projects in the Power App itself.
I have added the Project Online data source and created a new screen with a new vertical text only Gallery. I want to 'bind' the gallery to the list of projects in Project Online. I am attempting to use ProjectsOnline.ListProjects(siteURL):
I am unsure what URL to put here, and whether the URL needs to be enclosed within double qoutation marks like a normal string, e.g. "siteURL"
In the browser, navigating to https://api.sharepoint.com/sites/pwa/Projects.aspx provides me with a list of all current projects. If I try to use that URL I get the following warning (and no content)
If I try with quotation marks I get this error:
I am surely doing somethign fundamentally wrong here, but can anyone assist?
Let me try some educated guesses since no-one else has helped so far.
From the returned errors and some experience of PowerApps, I would say that definitely the URL needs to be a string in double quotations.
I think the problem is that you are providing the URL to a SharePoint page and not to the root site, please notice the format of the required URL in your first screenshot.
Please try this:
PS This is assuming that your tenant is api
I had the same problem, but tried the following, which is now working:
The .value at the end seems to convert the data format into something that Gallery can accept. Hope that helps (or that you found another solution). Regards,
