I created an app using the web client, which runs OK, and have also created a flow. What I need to do now is hook my flow to the PowerApp.
However, given that the Flow button doesnt appear in the Powerapps web client Im trying to edit the app in the windows 10 client. When I select my app it opens and runs OK but when I then select edit it fails to open in edit mode. What I brieifly see is 3 messages pop up saying
and teh left hand menu items brieifly show on the screen before Im just presented with the open screen.
Any help with what is going on here - I can still open the app in edit mode using the web client. Is there a log I can check?
I'm not having this issue on my Win10 Client. Would you please check if you change another pc, or another user proflie on this pc, will the issue persist?
Yes I can edit the app on another machine. Have tried reinstalling Powerapps and attempting to edit outside of my corproate network but that didnt make any difference.
Still an ongoing issue - I can edit on one machine but not on teh machine I originally developed it on. Not a sustainable postion.
Is there anything I can do to clear a cache or reset?
Ive just noticed that the error message has now changed to:
Error opening file - App not found
Looking on the forum I can see others have seen thsi errro message (https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/PowerApps-Forum/Error-Opening-File/m-p/17704#M7628) but not related to Studio and seems to be related to not being able to run the app which I can do. What I cant do is edit it in studio.
I am getting a similar problem, an app i could edit yesterday will no longer allow it to be edited, i can open the app to run it but if i try to edit it on the studio after 'getting things ready' powerapps studio closes. If i try to edit it (or any other app for that matter) in the online version it says app not found and then generates an error saying i have to start a new session, excellent...
Same problem. I have PowerApps Studio 2.0.722 on two different Windows 10 machines. I have two apps in development, both of which open for edit fine on one machine, but on the other they hang at 'Downloading'. Both also edit ok in the web version of studio.
I've tried deleting and reloading PowerApps on the non-working machine but this had no effect.
I can open the apps in play mode on the non-working machine, but as soon as I attempt to edit, they lock up.
..finally sorted by, on the non-working machine,
- Go to Apps and Features
- Use the 'reset' option on PowerApps to clear local cache
- RESTART MACHINE (just reset without restart doesn't work)
- reconnect to environment
Now downloads into Edit OK.
