Unable to patch record

I am unable to patch records to a table.  Powerapps says the table is read only, however it is not. The source is SQL.

Two questions:

  • Did you define a primary key?  If not, PowerApps will give this warning
  • Are you using a SQL view?  If yes, PowerApps will give this warning.

are you talking about a SQL Table via a SQL connector or a Power Apps data table populated from a SQL connection?  If its a SQL table then @mdevaney is correct.  To write from Power Apps to SQL you need a SQL Identity column as the primary key in the table or the table is treated as read only.

If you mean a Data Table then it doesn't matter because Data Tables in Power Apps are Read Only copies of data and can't be written to.
