Unable to show Managed metadata column based on a drop-down selection

I am customizing the SharePoint list edit form, and i want to show a managed metadata field if a drop-down list selection = "Portfolio", so i did the following formula If(DataCardValue9_1.Selected.Value = "Portfolio", true, false) , where DataCardValue9_1 is our drop-down list, and Regulator is our managed metadata field, here is a screen shot:-

but currently if i change the drop-down to "Portfolio" , the managed metadata field will not be shown..

Re: Unable to show Managed metadata column based on a drop-down selection

Hi @johnjohn123 ,

Could you please share a bit more about the data type of the "Deal Stage" field in your SP List? Is it a Choice Type column or Matedata Managed type column?

If the "Deal Stage" field is a Choice type column in your SP list, I think the formula you provided is proper. You could consider add a Label in your screen, set the Text property to following:

DataCardValue9_1.Selected.Value

then check if the Label could display proper selected value from the "Deal Stage" Dropdown box.

If the "Deal Stage" field is also a "Metadata Managed" type column in your SP List, I think there is something wrong with your If formula. The value you selected within the "Deal Stage" Dropdown box is a Label value from the "Metadata Managed" column, but the DataCardValue9_1.Selected.Value formula would return the following format value:

salesdepartment|e3f533b6-2be4-4a24-bec1-e31978b918f2 // Label value|TermGuid value

On your side, please modify your If formula as below:

If(DataCardValue9_1.Selected.Label = "Portfolio", true, false)

Please consider take a try with above solution, check if the issue is solved.
