Understanding the Get Relevant People Action

Recently noticed three new actions under the Office 365 Users connector:

  • Get my trending documents
  • Get trending documents
  • Get relevant people

I cannot find documentation on the "Get Relevant People" action.  How is it used?  How does it determine who is relevant?  How is this information displayed? I'd love to see an article on the Flow blog about these new actions!

Hi @mackw009,

The Office 365 Users connection is documented here:

Office 365 Users

But there is no detailed information about how the 'Get relevant people ' works.

The  below is the documentation about how the Graph API works with the People API:

"

Microsoft Graph applications can use the People API to retrieve the people who are most relevant to a user. Relevance is determined by the user’s communication and collaboration patterns and business relationships. People can be local contacts, contacts from social networking or from an organization’s directory, and people from recent communications (such as email and Skype). Along with generating this insight, the People API also provides fuzzy matching search support and the ability to retrieve the list of users relevant to another user in the signed-in user's organization. The People API is particularly useful for people picking scenarios, such as composing an email or creating a meeting. For example, you can use the People API in email compose scenarios.

"

More information, see:

Get Relevant People

Michael

@mackw009 :

for your information: the documentation has been updated concerning relevant people:

"The following request gets the people most relevant to another person in the signed-in user's organization, as described in the implementation of the working-with feature. This request requires the People.Read.All permission. All the query parameters described in the above sections apply as well."
