Unexpected Error : Form Sharepoint List

Created a Form to add data to a SharePoint list, however when Submit button is clicked following error message appears "The requested operation is invalid. Server Response. An unexpected 'PrimitiveValue' node was found when reading from the JSON reader. A ;StartObject' node was expected."

Hi Mamidannar,

How did you create this app? From SharePoint list connection directly? Have you tried to recreate it and test again? I cannot reproduce your issue while letting PowerApps creates the app automantically.

Mona

Yes, I created using a SharePoint list.  I have 4 fields to ask question,1) Single Line Text, 2) Look-up field 3) Choice list and 4) Multi Text. None of them are mandatory.  If the fields are Choice or LookUp fields the issue occurs, when I changed fields 2 & 3 to Text fields and then converted into PowerApp there is no issue.

I prefer to use Choice or Look-up Field as the users will be able to select when sending a request.

Any update here? There is development work being effected by this.

It is the same for me. It looks like that there is a problem with adding data to a person/group column. The error only occurs if the field is not empty.

This error is occurred when the JSON converted for CRM as input is from powerapp is generated. When you click on submit button it cast the type for each column/field you want to pass where the system fails to identify what type it should convert to.

For example if you have a TextInput that you need to pass value from then you will write as below:

Patch(Table,Defaults(Table),{StringValue:TextInput.Text})   - CORRECT

Patch(Table,Defaults(Table),{StringValue:TextInput})          - INCORRECT

so try converting it to desired type and then try submitting
