Hello everyone,
I have created an entity named "Contact details" . The entity contact details have 3 fields, namely contact details ID ( autonumber), name(text) and address(text).
By default when creating an entity, PowerApps generates a new field (unique datatype)
I want to change the field name datatype from text to unique. Please let me know if this is achievable.
Thank you,
Deevya

Hi @Deevya ,
Could you please share a bit more about your scenario? Is the "Contact details" Entity is a CDS Entity?
Do you want to change the field name data type from Text to "unique identifier"?
If you want to change the field name data type from Text to "unique identifier" within your "Contact details" CDS Entity, I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs in PowerApps currently.
The 'Unique Identifier' is generated automatically by CDS System, we could not specify a 'Unique Identifier' type column manually.
If you would like this feature to be added in PowerApps, please consider submit an idea to PowerApps Ideas Forum:

Hello Kris Dai,
Thank you very much for your response.
I think that the feature should be added on CDS. This would be hugely help to avoid duplication and also makes field validation more easy.
I have suggested this as an idea on PowerApps Forum
Hoping Microsoft considers it.

Deevya
