Good Morning,
I know there are a ton of posts about how to update a record from a drop down list. I am insanely new to PowerApps and wasn't able to apply what I found in other posts to my scenario. I would very much appreciate your help with this. I have a canvas app that draws from a One Drive for Business Excel file as data source. I started with a ticket system type template and the data source gets populated via a flow.
Every ticket starts with Status: New and Assigned to: Blank. When we go into the ticket details, I created two dropdowns via 'distinct(Sourcename,Field)' that shows the different status choices and people's names. What I'm missing is, how do I get the record to update with what was chosen in the drop down field? Example:
So based on my choice above, the assigned to field should get changed from 'blank' to 'Maike W'. And the status from 'New' to 'In Progress'. How please?
Appreciate the help.
Cheers
Maike
Hi @MaikeW ,
Is that a Form those controls are in ? If so, what is the Update of the two Data Cards containing them ?
The 'Assigned to' and 'Status' are just text fields on the page. I know I didn't do this right. How should I have done it? Sorry for being so green
@MaikeW ,
