Updating a specific column item

Hi there i have the list as seen below:

specifikke kolonner.PNGI would like to be able to update the 'Menu' column, but not the entire column or all of the elements within it a specfic one. For example "Mandag"(Read: Monday). Say i want to change the Menu column text for Monday, is there a smart way to do this.

I was thinking maybe something along the lines of:

Patch(Listname; Lookup(Listname;Day=Monday;Menu)Textinput.text)

If this makes any sense what so ever, if someone has a good idea of how one could do this, it would be of tremendous help 🙂

Thanks in advance.
- Tobi

Yes, the UPDATEIF function is a good way to do this 🙂

UpdateIf(Listname; Day="Mandag", {Menu: Textinput.text})

@mdevaney

Thanks for the response,

Hmm, it doesn't really do anything, however it doesn't show any errors what so ever it just does not update, as if it doesn't recognise that Day = Monday, even though it is.

I have a datasource within the app that is called monday as well do you think this could be the issue, or maybe the Monday needs "", to make it understand that it is a text value? 🙂

Thank you

Yes, I think the quotes are what is needed here.  I modified your previous statement which did not have quotes so I didn't notice they were missing 🙂

I have now updated my previous post.
