Upload attachments in Form

Hi,

I have a list with a custom form in Power Apps. I would like to know how I can attach files from the form ?? I would also like to know where these files would be stored ?? It is possible to add as an attachment an email message accessing directly to the outlook tray, and without having to save the message as a .msg  file??

Thanks.

Re: Upload attachments in Form

Hi @FABIAN50,

Could you please share a bit more about the custom form that you mentioned.

Do you custom a SharePoint list form using PowerApps?

If you want to attach files from the custom form created using PowerApps, please take a try with the following steps:

  • Within the SharePointIntegration PowerApps app, select the SharePointForm1 (Edit Form).
  • Within right panel, click Data pane. Then within the Fields part, select the Attachments field (Show Attachments field).8.JPG
  • Save your SharePointIntegration PowerApps app, then publish it to your SharePoint list.

When editing one item within my SharePoint list, the Attachments field would show up as below:

9.JPG

You could upload the attachments to this item via clicking the Attach file button.

More details about customizing a SharePoint list form using PowerApps, please check the following article:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/customize-list-form

If you want to upload Outlook email message into this item without saving it as a .msg file, I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs in PowerApps currently.

If you would like this feature to be added in PowerApps, please submit an idea to Power Ideas Forum:

Kris
