Use Icon to change filter on gallery

Hello all,

I am trying to use an icon to change the filter of a gallery.

In the gallery on items I have:

SortByColumns(Filter('Procurement Request', StartsWith('Procurement Item', TextInput1.Text)), "Created", Descending)

I want an icon at the top of the page to allow people to filter on specific status'. I had put this OnSelect:

Filter(Gallery1.AllItems, Status.Value = "Denied")

I don't have any invalid arguments but I know I'm missing something. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I would suggest you use this code in the OnSelect property of the filter button for “Denied”

Set(varFilteredStatus, "Denied")

You’ll get a delegation warning but here’s some code you can use.  If delegation is an issue for you I can give another idea.

SortByColumns(Filter('Procurement Request', StartsWith('Procurement Item'), Status.Value=varFilteredStatus ,Descending)
