Use power apps to create a web browser application for computer

Hello everybody !

I would like to know if it is possible to use Power Apps to create a web browser app designed to be used from a PC/Mac.

I am developing an iOS app with data stored in an Azure SQL database and I would like to create a web app to be able to manage the data from a PC/Mac.
Thank you for your help !

Hi @Ju24

Unfortunately, it is not possible to build a web app that can connect to an Azure SQL database.

With PowerApps, we can build websites with Portal apps. However, these work only with the CDS, and not SQL Server.

I've done this.

I created a full-width browser based app that connect to a Azure SQL database we spun up for testing. I wanted a browser based-app that would feel and run like a current web-app.

Here's a good link to walk you though connecting to Azure SQL.

To get the app to fill the browser window and look polished use responsive layouts.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/create-responsive-layout

Get rid of the irritating power apps toolbar at the top by adding '&hidenavbar=true' to the end of your app URL. Then give that out to users or get a vanity URL to clean it up.

Good luck!
