User entities in component - combobox

Hi All,

I have made a dialog popup in which I want to create tasks for users.

However, I cannot seem to access the user entities (listed in the CDS) in the combobox which is stranges because if I copy the combobox directly in the app everything works fine.

I considered using a Input table for the component but then the search and display fields do not work correctly. Also, I expect it to be easier.

Does anyone experience the same problem?

Hello @Reinier

I am not quite sure if I understood correctly, so when you use the combobox and retrieves data from CDS user entity it works on the App, however when you get the exactly same combobox and insert it into a dialog box it does not work?

Could you please tell us how the combobox is set to retrieve data from the user entity?

Hi Daniel,

That is correct, the combobox works in the app (image2) but not if you insert it in the combobox (image1).

I would like to use it for a popup in which tasks can be created. Each task has an owner and an manager.

It would be great if I can use the CDS views.

The item property of the combobox is: Users
However, I also tried:

    Office365Users.SearchUser(
        {
            searchTerm: combobox2.SearchText,
            top: 500
        }
    )
