Users Prompted for Azure Blob Connection Details on iOS

When I share an app for testing that uses an Azure blob connection users are getting prompted to enter the Azure blob storage name and key.

Why is this?

I thought the idea of a connection I manage would mean users would not get prompted for this stuff. It should be completly transparent to them, otherwise using this tool is just not going to be possible.

The only thing they should be prompted to allow access for is to local device resources, like camera or location.

Am I doing something wrong with the setup of an Azure Blob resource? Or should I be using other resources that will not have this user experience?

Thanks for any help,

Richard

This is now fixed, the connector will not prompt end users for the key any longer.

For Azure Blob currently you need to share the storage account name and key. Flow and PowerApps run with the context of the logged in user, not in all the cases, the connections can be shared. But in the case of CDM, when we share it, the shared user gets the entire CDM.

Thanks for that.

I have stopped using Azure Blob storage because I cannot use this connection given the way it works when deployed to end users.

I have provided my feedback to the PG that I feel that data source connections, and getting users to acknowlege them, needs to be removed as far as possible. If they are necessary then it needs to be as friction free as possible.
