Users are getting error: Failed to load [data source]. An unknown error occurred.”

I created a fairly simple app for a Room Inventory System.  The data source is a spreadsheet located in a shared folder in OneDrive for Business under our Office 365 environment.  I share the app and the folder with the users I asked to test the app.  The app shows up in the Dynamics 365 environment, but no data shows.  The documentation says this is primarily due to the data source not being shared.  I have shared that folder.  The error is “Failed to load RSCC_ROOM. An unknown error occurred.” RSCC_ROOM is the table in the spreadsheet.  None of my users can get to the app.  Any assistance would be appreciated.

The original app was created from a spreadsheet.  I recreated a new app using a new Entity database then imported the data from the original database.  This one works.

Hi Tim,

Please make sure that you have shared the OneDrive for Business folders and the files both, and also they will need the edit permission if your app was written to update data from data source.

Mona
