Users network login ID - ie username

I am looking for a way to get the users 8 digit network id (i.e. their username).  Everything I find shows how to get the users name or the email, etc but I have not been able to find a way to get the username itself.  Is there a way to do this in powerapps?

No, PowerApps exists within Office 365 rather than on your network. Therefore, it is not possible to get the network ID via a function.  The only user id you can obtain is email.
