Using checkbox in gallery to Patch inside ForAll?

I have a collection that I used to build a gallery. In that gallery I have several fields that are displaying via ThisItem.Column. Then I added a Checkbox to the gallery item definition. The checkbox is not linked to the collection. Can I use that checkbox (per item) to Patch as a refrence if it is checked or not? It doesn't seem to be working and I am guessing I am doing something wrong or I can't reference it the way I want?

Thank you for the help. I found out my original code worked, but I had a mistake elsewhere that was preventing it from being written to SQL.

@BrianHFASPS

Have you considered looking at the Gallery.AllItems property?  That will be a complete collection of all the items in the Gallery, plus their associated controls in the row.

Perhaps that might be what you are looking for and this is helpful.
