With PowerApps...the license costs still seem prohibitively high and have prevented us from doing much with it.
To use Plan 2 it costs $40 a month, right? Per user?
We have imagined simple things like the demo helpdesk app where hundreds of our users could check on ticket statuses, etc, etc...but that price does't scale at $40 a user.
Are there enterprise discounts we should be looking at?
You only need paid plans if you want to create custom connectors, or use "Premium" connectors.
So, depending on the services you're using, you might get away with just one or two paid plans for the organization/business unit, and free for the rest.
I can't imagine what it would take to need Plan 2 for each and every user in the organization.
So then the paid plans are for the "developers" who build the apps or setup the connectors etc?
The app users, the people who are employees in our O365 environment, they don't need a paid license to use the app?
So that helpdesk example app: If that used a premium data connector to source its data, only the developer who builds it needs the paid plan, the employees who just login to the app to update tickets or read them, don't need a paid plan?
So basically, if you use a premium connector or the CDS...every single person who accesses the app has to pay for a plan, because the app uses a premium data service, whereas if the app was only reading SPO lists, etc... then their O365 license may have covered it.
How does that scale???
Basically, are you just never supposed to use CDS or premium data sources?
