When moving from TextInput to Button, OnChange is not triggered

We have an app with some input controls and a Button to go to the next screen.

When entering Text in a TextInput control, the data is stored from the OnChange event.

This event is triggered when going to another control, i.e. by using tab.

When clicking on the button directly after entering text, the OnChange event is not fired, so the data is not stored.

Is this a bug?

Hi @JeroenL,

How is the code of OnChange function of your txetinput control configured?

If this post helps, then please consider Accept it as the solution to help the other members find it more quickly.

This is the code of the OnChange:

If(IsEmpty(Filter('PIM Product Attributes'; ProductNumber = Record100.ExternalProductNumber; AttributeId = "Commerciële beschrijving")); Collect('PIM Product Attributes'; {ProductNumber: Record100.ExternalProductNumber; AttributeId: "Commerciële beschrijving"; AttributeValueId: Commercieel}); Patch('PIM Product Attributes';Last(Filter('PIM Product Attributes'; ProductNumber = Record100.ExternalProductNumber; AttributeId = "Commerciële beschrijving")); {AttributeValueId: Commercieel}));;

So we either create or update a record in a table in the CDS. The control is not bound to a datasource.

Hi JeroenL,

Have you found any solution for this issue. We are facing similar issue in one of canvas app.

Any solution/workaround would help us.

thanks in advance.
