Where is the information stored from these tickets?

Hello,

I want to use this template to start with my applications. I just want to know where the information of the tickets is stored. I understand they'll show up under "All tickets" but where is that code actually stored? Here is a screenshot of the template:

You can also find it here:

All data source is from statics Excel files.

All tickets are from 'Tickets' table and saved into TicketsCollect1 collection. The Statics Excel data source cannot be modified, they are attached to the App, and can only be viewed, so the template is working with the data in TicketsCollect1 collection.

If you want to build the app based on this template, you have to create your own data source following the Excel tables construct.

and replace all datasource in codes by yours.

Thank you for your answer!

Could you explain this more carefully so I understand it better and know what to do? I understand I have to make my own excel database and replace the constructions but I don't know how to do it. I am a noob at this so a better explanation would be appreciated.

OK, @Anonymous

1. Create your own data sources, e.g. Excel table on OneDrive for business. Ensure Excel table names are the same with current statics Excel table names. The data construct can be found in File - Collection.

How to format an Excel table: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/create-and-format-tables-e81aa349-b006-4f8a-9806-5af9df0ac664?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US

Snipaste_2020-02-07_18-00-36.png

2. If you want to get other statics Excels' data construct, just use ClearCollect function to save the statics excel table to Collection, then you will get the data to construct in Collection panel.

Snipaste_2020-02-07_18-05-28.pngSnipaste_2020-02-07_18-05-14.png

3. If all data sources have been prepared, first, remove the original statics excel files, then connect your own Excel table to PowerApps Data source. Make sure to keep the connection names the same, so that there is no need to modify the codes.

4. Then the app will connect to your own Excel tables.

Hope this helps.

I don't understand what you mean with step 2, could you be more clear? 🙂

I created an excel file and tried to add it but it said there are no tables in the excel file? What am I supposed to put in the excel file? I am a noob to this and don't know what to do ;/

@Anonymous

Excel data should be formatted as a table, please refer to this article: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/create-and-format-tables-e81aa349-b006-4f8a-9806-5af9df0ac6...

Thank you for your reply, how do I know what table to make ?

@Anonymous

I suggest you replace all statics Excel files to your own data source.

You can refer to this thread to see how to replace the data source:
