Why is my display form not working when Item is set to tableName.Selected?

I have a data table on one screen. When a user clicks a view icon, they navigate to another screen that has a display form. The data source for the form is the same data source as the table's. For Item, I set it as tableName.Selected and PowerApps even tries to autocomplete this for me so I know it's available. However, I get "This form isn't connected to any data yet" and when I preview the app, clicking the icon takes me to the form's page but it's just blank. How can I get this form to show the data for the selected row?

(aWSPricesData is dummy data that's created on the app startup. It's what populates the tbl_aWSPrices table.)

Hi @aec2018,

Have you solved your problem?

Do you want to populate the display form with the DataTable selected?

Could you please tell me that if the aWSPricesData is a temporary collection.

If you want to display the DataTable selected record from a temporary collection in the display from, I am afraid that there is no way to achieve this currently in Power Apps.

I have a test and the situation is confirmed on my side, that you could not capture the data table selected record from a collection in the form.

A Form could not display the collection records.

Only data source from a data base could be captured in a Form, so please replace this dummy data with a real data source.

Hope it could help you at some degree.

Best Regards,
Qi

Hi @v-qiaqi-msft ,

Thank you for your response. Currently, as I develop the app, I create a collection on App OnStart using ClearCollect() as such:

ClearCollect(aWSPricesData,
            {
                id: "245f8c1a-joel-490d-bbc5-1932437c571c1",
                offerCode: "AMAZONROUTE53REGIONALFRANCE",
                version: "20210422213356",
                publicationDate: "2021-04-22T21:33:56.000Z",
                productSku: "A2FBGTVWPQDONKEY",
                productFamily: "DNS Query",
                productAttributes: "null",
                terms: "null",
                offerAttributes: "null"
            },
            {
                id: "201f8c1a-four-490d-bbc5-1932437c571c2",
                offerCode: "AMAZONROUTE53REGIONALGERMANY",
                version: "20210422213356",
                publicationDate: "2021-04-22T21:33:56.000Z",
                productSku: "A2FBGTVWPPIZZA",
                productFamily: "DNS Query",
                productAttributes: "null",
                terms: "null",
                offerAttributes: "null"
            }
);

The end goal is to have this data come from a custom connector making a call to our API endpoint. If I understand what you're saying, I can't display any data from a Collection in my PowerApp into a form? When we eventually connect to our API, how should I go about saving that data so that it can then be displayed in a display/edit form? Thank you.
