Working with offline capability, but get location

Hello guys, I am working on a app that I need to my users fill a form, they will not have connections sometimes, so I made the offline capability and it is working fine.

But I have an point here.

The main reason to do this app is a inspection of some equipments along the city.

But, when the manager of the responsible area told me that some users fill the form even without going to the equipment, he asked me If i could collect the position of the users when submit the form, I said yes (collection the lat & long on login), but the problem is:

Sometimes my users will not have the connection when submiting the form, so how can I collect the location?

Hm. Does Location.Latitude require Connection.Connected? I haven't tested that.

You might try:

  • Textbox Control with Text Property set to Location.Latitude
  • Save and Publish App
  • Open app on mobile device
  • Verify Latitude is displayed
  • Turn Airplane Mode on
  • Wait a few and see if Latitude disappears
  • Close the app fully
  • Reopen the app (with Airplane Mode still on)
  • Is Latitude displayed?

hey @seadude , thank you so much!

but let me ask you another question, how can I provide the offline capability, using a sharepoint list, so the user could also attatch a file?

In the offline capability we have to collect the records, how can we collect the attatch and save it later?

is it possible to do?
