Re: XML with powerapps

Hi @vgudipati .

Could you please share a bit more about your scenario?

Do you want to read XML data within a PowerApps app?

If you want to read XML data within a PowerApps app, I afraid that there is no way to achive your needs in PowerApps currently. The XML data type is not supported within PowerApps.

The available data types supported in PowerApps, please refer to following article:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/functions/data-types

In addition, the JSON data type is also supported in PowerApps, please check the following article:

JSON function

If you would like this feature to be added in PowerApps, please consider submit an idea to PowerApps Ideas Forum:
https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Apps-Ideas/idb-p/PowerAppsIdeas

As an alternative solution, I think MS Flow (Power Automate) could achieve your needs. You could consider fire a flow from your PowerApps app, then within your app, the json function (WDL expression) in MS Flow (Power Automate) could convert a XML data into a json data, then you could return the converted json data back to your PowerApps app.

More details about firing a flow from an app, please refere to the following video resource:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wl9AtxWdkg

More details about returning data back to PowerApps app from a flow, please refer to the following article:

https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/return-an-array-from-flow-to-powerapps-response-method/

Please also consider take a try with above alternative solution, then check if the issue is solved.
