You may break your Power Apps triggered flow with the changes on the added connections

I am getting a weird error preventing me from even saving the flow. The concept of the flow is to create a channel in Teams and then post to that channel information obtained through a powerapp.

I am almost certain that it has something to do with the expressions that I have added to the body however, I cannot seem to correct it. Other questions point to the fact that you cannot pass anything but a string from PowerApps to Flow so I converted everything to a text value. That really only meant changing a boolean value to a text value. But even that does not seem to be fixing it. Does anyone have any ideas?

The error about breaking your Power Apps triggered flow simply means that if you change the number of parameters or the return value of the flow it will no longer match the schema that was loaded when you added the flow to your Power App.  That's easy to repair.  You simply have to drop your flow in the Power App and re-add it.

So I agree that the problem is in the functions you have embedded in the HTTP request.  Here's what I would do to troubleshoot it.

1) First, replace the JSON content field in your HTTP call and see if the flow works without error.

2) If #1 works then I would suggest adding a compose just before the HTTP call action and build your content there using the IF() statements.  You might even want to break it up into multiple Compose statements to isolate the problem.  Then use the Compose output in the Content: property.

It will also occur if you import your canvas App/Flow into another Environment.

When you remake the connections in the new environment it breaks the signature originally established when the canvas app was linked to the flow.
The signature needs to be remade. I edit the flow to the connections in the new env.

Then edit the canvas app. Copy the existing on button code (as it gets deleted).
Reconnect from the canvas app to the flow, replace the code, save publish.

Are you importing it as part of a solution with a connection reference?  Doing it that way shouldn't require dropping and re-adding the flow.

It is being imported as part of a solution, and the names of the connection references remain the same but every time it breaks with a trigger failure and looking at the canvas app the connection to the flow is broken.
As the solution is based on sharepoint we'd hope to use environment variables and deployment settings as part of our pipeline, as we have done for other solutions, but choice fields are not supported by Environment variables.

This means that as the solution moves between environments the data sources have to be manually edited in the canvas app to point to UAT or prod data. For this reason we now have to use unmanaged solutions as we move between environments to be able to edit.

This is repeatable. Import the unmanaged solution, amend the environment variables to suit the flows, edit the flows, re-enable connections, edit canvas app, reconnect to target environment sharepoint datasets, copy the power automate connect script, reconnect to power automate flow, repaste code, publish, publish customisations.

Not ALM as we know it Jim!

Looking forward to Env.Var support for Sharepoint choice fields!

Thanks for your interest. Richard UK

Two things.

1) I've seen reports recently that there are some issues using environment variables to change connections in SharePoint.  I believe they are working to fix this issue.

2) You mentioned that the names of the connection references all stay the same.  But did you actually create Connection References inside the Solution?  Or are you using the ones created when connections are created?

Env var support of Sharepoint. Sure, they will fix it, sometime, current rumours being rolled out now but wont hold breath. Env vars generated by canvas app alongside con refs. Target build env reset and cleared of con refs, imported solution brings them automatically.
