auto populate word document error

Hello,

I am trying to automate the creating of a word document. though I have followed all the steps in making sure that required fields are converted to text box (under developer options); the power automate work flow spits out the error "failed to get dynamic schema"

how can i correct this ?

P.S i am using Word for Mac. Its ribbon for developer tab is as shown below - its no where as inclusive as the Windows version.

Re: auto populate word document error

@steam_it_clean ,

I have many of these and the Text control in the Developer ribbon you describe has always simply worked when the Word connector is invoked in a Flow.

You probably may not like this answer, but if you the Word Merge fields on a PC and then you can use your Mac for everything else.

Re: auto populate word document error

Thank you for the response Warren!

i did some digging and it’s sad that MS does not offer the same lever of document editing on the Mac platform as it does on its native OS, although the cost of application is the same. Feel a let down.

Regardless - for the rest, attached is the screen shot of what I found.
