cannot write back to oracle on prem database

I have a 30 day trial license and am trying to evaluate if Power Apps will allow me to write back to an on-prem Oracle data warehouse.   I followed the steps outlined in this link: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/connections/connection-oracledb and have managed to create the connection, but when the system generates the app, i only get the gallery and view details pages.  I can see the data from my table correctly.  However no Edit Form page is created.   When I try to manually create it, I can build the form, but it does not write back when I submit form.  I have a gateway set up, and it is pulling in the data just fine.   What do I need to do to enable writeback to on-prem Oracle Data Warehouse tables?

I'm not an expert on Oracle, but SQL operates the same way when creating an App from Data.  In the case of SQL to write data back to the database the table must contain a Primary Key that is an autoincrementing Identity field.  Even if that is the case you need to build the Edit screen and the Patch() statement to write back to the database manually.  I would suspect that Oracle works the same way.

thank you, I will try the primary key first.  I have not used the Patch function.  Is that required, or will the basic edit form work once there is a primary key in place?

Setting up a primary key allowed me to connect everything and successfully write back.  thank you!

Hi! Is there a guide that you referenced on how you added the primary key for oracle. I'm having the same issue.
