canvas with 4 subforms

Hello,

I'm trying to create from a sharepoint list a canvas with several distinct parts on the canvas.

To do this I create 4 forms to make it more "friendly" but I realized that it gives me integration error with sharepoint because I can only relate one form.

In this example, the central form (1) "Detail Anagrams" is the one I have linked in SharepointIntegration.

but it gives me error in the other 3 forms. I don't know how to fix it.

Has it happened to anyone? How do I link 4 forms to a sharepoint integration or some other way to make it similar to this?

thank you very much for the help

@losbrincos2

If the other forms have a different datasource (SharePoint list), then simply add those lists as datasources in your app and then set the datasource for the other forms to those lists.

That should give you what you want.  The SharePointIntegration only pertains to the list you are on, but you can include as many other sources as you would like.

I hope this is helpful for you.

Thanks for the reply.
Right now I have it all on the same list. I'm going to try to do a test.

But I have a doubt with what you indicate at the end. "but you can include as many other sources as you would like."

How can i include it?

Thanks!!!!

@losbrincos2

Maybe I misunderstood...are you trying to add forms for other datasources/SharePoint lists, or are you trying to break your initial Form into multiple parts all based on the initial SharePointIntegration data list?

Hi,
Rather the second, I have a list with 30 fields and I wanted to create a canvas with several sections to facilitate the interpretation for users.

For this, right now, I have 1 initial data list with 4 forms. The tool leaves me, but I get red alerts and when it runs it does not record the data.

thanks for the interest.
Cheers
David

@losbrincos2

Ah, okay...not 4 datasources, but simply your long form broken into 4 shorter forms.

Yes, this can be done - there is a trick to it.

For simplicity, I will consider each form as Form1, Form2, Form3, and Form4

Here is what you do...

1) Add Form1 and set the DataSource to your SharePoint list.  Then set the Item property to SharePointIntegration.Selected

2) Remove any fields from Form1 that you don't want to be on that form.

3) Repeat steps 1 and 2 for Form2, and Form3

4) Add Form4.  Again set the datasource to your SharePoint list.  On this form, make sure you have ALL of the fields in it.  Instead of removing the fields, set any datacard that you do not want to appear in Form4 (because you already had them on Forms 1-3), set their Visible property to false.

5) On Form4, set the Items property to the following: Patch(SharePointIntegration.Selected, Form1.Updates, Form2.Updates, Form3.Updates)

When you SubmitForm it will be Form4 that you want to submit.  In fact, Form4 would be considered the "master" form in your app.  The other three just supply information to it.

I hope that is clear and helpful.

@losbrincos2

I seemed to answer almost the same question in this post.

There is a little more detail there that you might want to follow in substitute for my prior response.
