cascading drop down linked with logged in user email

Hi friends,

I need help on creating a cascading dropdown which is based on the logged in user.

I am trying to create a cascading dropdown in PowerApps which helps a logged in user to select assigned countries and projects from the dropdown and complete the remaining inputs related to the project.

As shown in the attached image i was able to create a dropdown on country and project fields. However am unable to get this work out for cascading my country dropdown linked with logged in user.

Your help on how to achieve the desired result would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Hi @Del_Ind ,

Could you please share a bit more about your scenario?

Do you want to related options within the country and project Dropdown box based on current sign in user?

Further, could you please share more details about the formula you used within the Items property of the country and project Dropdown box?

Set the Items property of the Country Dropdown box to following:

Distinct(
      Filter(
            'Your SP List',
            'Associate Email Id' = User().Email
      ),
      'Countries Responsible'
)

Set the Items property of the Project Dropdown box to following:

Distinct(
      Filter(
            'Your SP List',
            'Associate Email Id' = User().Email
      ),
      'Projects Responsible'
)

In addition, if you want the Project Dropdown box to be also filtered based on the selected value within the Country Dropdown box, please consider modify the formula within the Items property of the Project Dropdown box to following:

Distinct(
      Filter(
            'Your SP List',
            'Associate Email Id' = User().Email,
            'Countries Responsible' = CountryDropdownBox.Selected.Result // Add this formula
      ),
      'Projects Responsible'
)

Please try above formula, hopes it could help in your scenario.
