cascading dropdown - how to remove default value

hi. i have a sharepoint powerapps form. i have a cascading dropdown working from a sharepoint list with parent/child columns.

in my form, the default value is always filled in, even though i removed it and left it blank.

this is probably very easy, i just want the default value to be blank for both parent and child drop down.

Re: cascading dropdown - how to remove default value

@cchan000  what I do is create a collection for your drop down and then collect an item with a blank record into the collection. After that you set your default for the dropdown to the blank record.

Re: cascading dropdown - how to remove default value

Hi. Does "blank" have an actual value I'm supposed to enter it to make sure it's blank? Right now it is just empty (NO VALUE).
