Hi @KinYan :

Please try this code:

LookUp(Choices('PFR'.Department),Value=cbDepartment_C.Selected.Department)

I did a test and it worked well.

Hi @KinYan

The key to what is submitted is the update property of the card containing the control. Please check this to make sure it is referencing the combo box correctly.

Hi @KinYan

Could you tell me:

  • About your SharePoint list:

1)What is Department's data type ?Choise or lookup?

2)How is the Department field set?(Type each choice on a separate line\Allow multiple selection\……)

  • About the app

     3)What is cbDepartment_C's items preoperty?

I’m not sure about the cause of this problem, if I can get more details, I might be able to help you.

Best Regards,

Hi @v-bofeng-msft

1. Choise

2. Each choice on a separate line, not allow multipe selection

3. In order to cascade combo box cbOffice_C (the office combo box), item property of cbDepartment_C is set as below:
     Filter(Departments, Office.Value = cbOffice_C.Selected.Value)

Hi @KinYan :

Please set the  data card's Update property to:

cbDepartment_C.Selected.Department

Best Regards,

Bof

after change update property with your code, i got below error when i submit the form:

Hi @KinYan :

Could you tell me:
Does cbDepartment_C allow multiple selections?

What is Departments? Is it your SP list that contain department field? If it is another list, can you show the data structure of the two lists in detail?

The following is my test, everything works fine:

My data source:'List B'

  •  Title-text
  •  Department-Choice/do not allow mulpitle selections

cbDepartment_C:

Items:

'List B'

Department_DataCard1:

Update:

cbDepartment_C.Selected.Department

Hi @v-bofeng-msft

There are 2 lists:

List A: Departments

Office: Choice

Department: Single line of text. the column name changed from title to Department.

TeamLead: Person or Group

FolderPath: Single line of text

List B: PFR
Office: Choice

Department: Choice

Project No: Single line of text

Project Name: Single line of text

TeamLead: Person or Group

FolderPath: Single line of text

I create the APP from PFR. There are multiple departments in multiple offices, I want to use cascade combo box to show department in the department combo box.

combo box name:
Office: cbOffice_C

Department: cbDepartment_C

Items property:

Office combo box: Choices([@Departments].Office)

Department combo box: Filter(Departments, Office.Value = cbOffice_C.Selected.Value)

btw, multiple selection on cbDepartment_C is disabled.

Hi @KinYan :

Please try this code:

LookUp(Choices('PFR'.Department),Value=cbDepartment_C.Selected.Department)

I did a test and it worked well.
