copy notetext field on Note to Account

Hi,

We have a requirement from a sales manager that he wants to see the latest comment from sales people in his Active Accounts view.  To achieve that, I have created a custom field called Note(Latest) on Account entity then I want to copy "notetext" field (circled in the below image) on Note entity to Note(Latest) filed on Account entity.  Am I correct to say I should use Flow in this case?

Yes you can use flow achieve this. For example flow triggering by "When a record is updated"

to monitor if any updates with note record, then  update the relevant account.

Hi @bs-dev001 ,

Do you want to populate the "Note(Latest)" field in your Account form with the latest note text value?

Regarding the needs that you mentioned, I agree with @EricaBao 's thought almost. A Power Automate flow could achieve your needs.

I have made a test on my side, please try the following workaround:

Please create a Power Automate flow based on above flow's configuration, then add the "When a record is created, updated, or deleted" trigger of DataFlex connector as above configuration.

Within the "Update a record" action, set the Item ID field to following expression:

first(outputs('List_records')?['body/value'])?['accountid']

then save your flow, and try it. When you add a note to a existing account record in your Model-Driven form, the above flow would be fired automatically, and update the Note(Latest) field with the note text value.
