€ currency formatting in Gallery

Hi, I am trying to apply currency formatting for € within a gallery item. As soon as i apply currency formatting for Euro the number stops displaying, however, if i use $, the number displays.

Text(Round(ThisItem.XXXX,0),"[$-en-US]$ #,###") -> This formula works

Text(Round(ThisItem.XXXX,0),"[$-en-US] #,###") -> This formula doesn't work and value becomes blank

Hi@shrijabajpai,

Have seen your screenshot, things get weird.

Any progress on the issues mentioned earlier? I have tried this again, still works with the formula you provided. Sorry for not able to reproduce the issue you mentioned.

As an alternative solution I mentioned before, please try to add a Label to display "" directly.

Add a Label and set the Text property as below:

"€"

Add another Label and set the Text property as below:

Text(Round(ThisItem.TestCurrency,0),"[$-en-US] #,###")

After then, you can also have the design as you expected.

Best Regards,

Qi

Hi@shrijabajpai,

Based on the issue that you mentioned, do you want to format the currency with a € in front of it?

Could you please share a bit more about your scenario, is this a Currency or Number type within an SP list?

I have a test on my side, please take a try as below.

Whatever it is a Number or Currency type, I test it with your formula and it works as expected.

Therefore, please provide detail about your column type.

As an alternative solution, you could directly add a € in front of the currency instead of adding it within the Text() function.

Set the Text property of the Label as below:

"€" & Text(ThisItem.Currency,"[$-en-US] #,###")

Thanks @v-qiaqi-msft  I am doing the exact same steps but value becomes blank as soon as use € in the formula.

When using $ in the formula

When using € in the formula, value become blank

I tried add € in front of the currency instead of adding it within the Text() function. There as well same behavior. However, when i am applying using Text(Round(ThisItem.XXXX,0),"[$-en-US]€ #,###") outside of gallery, then it works. But this formula doesn't work at all in the gallery.

Hi@shrijabajpai,

  1. How you set the Items property of your Gallery?
  2. Is this a Currency or Number type within an SP list, please post the screenshot of the corresponding column setting?

The following screenshot is my column setting about the currency column, please post yours. Tell me your data source and column type.

Please answer the above question.

As an alternative solution, you can add a new Label to only display "€".

Please try the following workaround.

Add a Label and set the Text property as below:

"€"

Add another Label and set the Text property as below:

Text(ThisItem.Currency,"[$-en-US]#,###")

Please check the Gif.
