dataflow issues between powerapps and share point list

context :

I am currently creating a powerapps application to perform internal audits in my company.

I created the application from a SP list.
Each audit will be carried out at regular intervals to measure developments in the field.

Issue 1 :

Currently, entering new data on the application erases the pre-existing data in the SP list.

Issue 2 :

During the audit in the event of non-compliance with an expectation, the auditor enters a brief comment to describe the situation.

I would like to analyse recurring non-compliance, for this purpose the application must return the commentary of the last audit for each expectation (if any)

In this way, the auditor can inform whether the situation to be changed since the last audit

Ask :

how to keep the data collected during successive audits?

how to display ( for each recital) the comment made during the last audit ( if it exists)?

Thank's

Re: dataflow issues between powerapps and share point list

Hi @Anonymous ,

I need to know few things:

Are you creating a canvass app with a Gallery or with a Form?
I assume you're using Form since you created the App straight from SP List.

Issue1:
If entering a new data delete the existing data, are you using the Submit(Form) function?
You might try to use Patch() function.
More details here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/functions/function-patch

Issue2:
You need to query your SP List. Need to have a Column you can use to Group the Items.
e.g.:

ID

Location

You need to group Items per Location then Sort the Location Group by Date Column and LookUp() the Last Comment on the Group.

Would you mind posting screenshots or codes.
