Hi!
Im trying to patch records in Sharepoint list with the data from a gallery (this gallery use a collection with the same data from the sharepointlist).
I'm using the next code but im getting double records (i mean... if i have 10 records, im creating 10 news with the new data and im not updating the original 10 records).
The code that im using is:
Patch(
Inventario_bodegaLBRDR;
ForAll(
Galleryentrega.AllItems;
{
Title: Label3_6.Text;
Item_ID: Stocknuevo_2.Text;
Nombre_epp: Label4_1.Text;
Cantidad: Value(Stocknuevo.Text);
Estado: {Value: Stocknuevo_1.Text};
QTY: Value(Label5.Text)
}
)
);;
Does anyone help me with this???!.
Thanks

If someone is looking for the solution of this... there you go:
ForAll(RenameColumns(Galleryentrega.AllItems;"Item_ID";"ID_Item");
Patch(
Inventario_bod_LBRDR;
LookUp(Inventario_bod_LBRDR;Item_ID = ID_Item);
{
Title: Label3_6.Text;
Item_ID: Stocknuevo_2.Text;
Nombre_epp: Label4_1.Text;
Cantidad: Value(Stocknuevo.Text);
Estado: {Value: Stocknuevo_1.Text};
QTY: Value(Label5.Text)
}
))
;;
Hello @Crissceron ,
To "Patch()" a bulk of records, you need to set it up like this:
Patch(
source,
recordsToEdit,
editToApply
)
The 1st parameter is your list.
The 2nd parameter is the records you want to edit.
The 3rd parameter is the records you want to edit with their new values.
Hope this was helpful to you.
I also tried with this code but is just updating the first record of the gallery selected.
Patch(
[@Inventario_bodegaLBRDR];
LookUp(
[@Inventario_bodegaLBRDR];
Item_ID = Galleryentrega.Selected.Item_ID
);
{
Title: Label3_6.Text;
Item_ID: Stocknuevo_2.Text;
Nombre_epp: Label4_1.Text;
Cantidad: Value(Stocknuevo.Text);
Estado: {Value: Stocknuevo_1.Text};
QTY: Value(Label5.Text)
}
);;
Any idea????
That may be due to your "LookUp()" not returning any value.
Can you try with only "Gallery.Selected" instead of the "LookUp()" ?
This is not best in terms of performance but should resolve the issue You have for now. reason Your first code creates 10 new records is due to ID You do not provide any to Patch and You asking Patch to loop thru all 10 Records, so Patch do that and as Defaults it create records times number of Records in gallery
ForAll(
Galleryentrega.AllItems As _ItemID,
Patch(
Inventario_bodegaLBRDR,
LookUp(Inventario_bodegaLBRDR, ID = _ItemID.ID),
{
Title: Label3_6.Text,
Item_ID: Stocknuevo_2.Text,
Nombre_epp: Label4_1.Text,
Cantidad: Value(Stocknuevo.Text),
Estado: {Value: Stocknuevo_1.Text},
QTY: Value(Label5.Text)
}
)
);
I don't know what is behind Your controls but just keep in mind this Patch will Update all 10 records with whatever is in that Controls so all 10 records will have same data
It didn't work.
Note: for me Item_ID is the name of a column in the Sharepoint List.
Check again I misplace coma and just update it and if did not work let me know what the error is showing
There are multiple errors, but i have some questions...
Why are you using in the ForAll function "_ItemID" and then in the LookUp function you are looking for ID column (the name is Item_ID) and then you use _Item.ID....
maybe this the problem...
_ItemID is an Alias it does not have anything to do with Your Item_ID it is to lookup ID from Your Database and Compare it to ID from Gallery
If You provide me with a screen, I help to debug the code
Here I use similar code as a test, and it is working
ForAll(
Gallery1_6.AllItems As _ItemID,
Patch(
TestApp2,
LookUp(
TestApp2,
ID = _ItemID.ID
),
{Title: "Test1"}
)
)
here is good question I should ask on start is Your gallery base on the Table You trying Patch to?
