Items property on the gallery will have something along the lines of:
Filter(<sharepoint list>, <column> = <dropdown>.Selected.Value

And the dropdown should have item property of something like:
Distinct(<sharepoint list>, <column>

Once you have that setup, you'll throw on the labels and buttons onto the gallery as desired, and all should be good!

Flip that gallery item property around, so that the column is first, and the dropdown is second. Right now, you're searching the dropdown values to match the column, where in reality you're wanting to search the column for the dropdown value.

Haven't seen that warning before, so I wonder if flipping those around will do much. Also, not sure if the dropdown item property image pasted...not seeing anything.

@mick_swartz  thanks for your answers, but still have the same error..

so I guess your Galley (or another control which you using)'s Items Property should be something like below...

Filter('<Data Source>',(<Data Source>.'Name' = dropdown.Selected.'Name') )

in above
a. '<Data Source>' is your gallery control data source
b. '<Data Source>'.'Name' 'Name' is column which contains this current dropdown value in the list...
c. dropdown is dropdown control which holds all possible choices which user can select...

so for this dropdown's items property should be .... Choices(<Data Source>.'Name')..

see if this helps..

Hi @Anonymous , can you please change the underlined portion to "value" (without the quotes)? There shouldn't be a column reference there, we are only using control references.
