filter by variable

I have a Gallery, with Items=

If(Statusvalue="Drafts",Filter('Enquiries List',Status.Value="Draft"),'Enquiries List')

Statusvalue is a variable with 7 possibilities. To cover all eventuals I could create a series of if functions in the above. However, is it possible to do something like this:

Filter('Enquiries List',Status.Value=Statusvalue)

Re: filter by variable

You can use a variable in a filter. How does the variable get set with the correct value? You could also create a drop down with all the values and then have the filter use that drop down value.

Filter('Enquiries List',Status.Value=DropDown.Selected.Value)
