Re: how to export data from powerapps to excel(by user) with out CDS

Hi

I assume it has nothing to do with CDS, SPL, etc.

I wish I am correct as I used only CDS and custom connector (even Excel).

In order to Back up to Excel (or rather saying that Save to Excel)

- You need to connect to either Excel in Dropbox (fastest), OneDrive or GDrive

- Create a Table with all the Field Titles as of your SPL

- Use Patch(TableExcel, ContextVariable, {FieldTItle1: xx, FieldTitle2: yy,..})

and it will triggers saving to Excel.

Anyway, it take sometimes to save as the process is slow and depending on internet speed.

Hope this helps.

Re: how to export data from powerapps to excel(by user) with out CDS

Hi @Raj_Saha,

Do you want to export form data directly from PowerApps to Excel?

Currently, there is no direct way to export data into a Excel file within PowerApps. If you would like this feature to be added in PowerApps, please submit an idea to PowerApps Ideas Forum:

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/PowerApps-Ideas/idb-p/PowerAppsIdeas

As an alternative solution, you could consider to pass the form data into a flow (Microsoft Flow), then use the flow to create a Excel file.

Here is the reference document link:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/flow/multi-step-logic-flow

Please check and see the following thread which is a similar issue like yours:

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/General-Discussion/how-to-export-data-from-powerapps-to-excel-by...

I hope they will be useful to you.

Best Regards,

Zhen
