lookup columns are missing from the CDS Datasource

Hi i have the same issue but the lookup columns are missing from the CDS Datasource not from the sharepoint . Could you please let me know how to make those lookup fields visible.

The issue i am facing is i need to get the pay frequency from Worker Fixed Compensations with reference to worker number from Worker Entity.

i have written the code as below but since the lookup columns are missing or Visible.
LookUp('Worker Fixed Compensations','Worker'. = Dropdown2.Selected.'Worker')

Hi @Anonymous :

Could you tell me what the relationship that between 'Worker' and 'Worker Fixed Compensations' is?N:1?Or 1:N?

Could you tell me what the Dropdown2’s items property is?

I assume the relation ship between 'Worker' and 'Worker Fixed Compensations' is N:1

Firstly, when you are creating an N: 1 or 1: N relationship, only one of the two entities will create a lookup field.

In the case of a One-to-many relationships, the Look up field will be created on the related entity, not the entity you currently have selected. If you need the lookup on the current entity, please create a Many-to-one relationship.

Secondly, I am not sure what function you need to implement in this code.

Case1: You want to find the record in 'Worker' associated with it based on a record in 'Worker Fixed Compensations'.

(Record specified in 'Worker Fixed Compensations').'Worker'

Case2: You want to find the record in 'Worker Fixed Compensations' associated with it based on a record in 'Worker'.

LookUp(
'Worker Fixed Compensations', /*data source */
WorkerFixedCompensationsid /*Unique identifier for entity instances*/
=
Dropdown2.Selected.WorkerFixedCompensationslookup /*lookup filed*/. WorkerFixedCompensationsid /*Unique identifier for entity instances*/
)

I think this link will help you a lot:

@v-bofeng-msft

The relationship between Worker Fixed Compensation and Worker is Many to One as show below .

I want to find Pay Frequency Value from Worker Fixed Compensation entity based on worker id .

The DropDown2 entity is worker in the formula mentioned.

Case 2

While the main issue here is the lookup columns of Worker fixed compensation The fields mentioned with the data type of lookup in the below image are not visible in PowerApps.

Hi @RajR :

Please try this code:

Dropdown2.Selected.'Worker Fixed Compensations'

I think you can get a table of related records directly.

Hi @v-bofeng-msft

This is the error it is throwing while i am trying this formula.

Left Drop Down Value 1016 is the worker number
Second Drop Down i need to show the Pay Frequency based on the Worker Number or Worker ID.

Error Message : Name isn't Valid This identifier isn't recognized

Please let me know if i wrote the formula incorrectly.

Hi @Anonymous :

Hi @v-bofeng-msft

That is not giving me any data actually.

Hi @Anonymous :

Could you tell me :

  • Is there any error in this code?If an error is reported, what is the error?
  • Are records configured between two related entities mapped?

I think these links will help you a lot:
