lookup function delegable predicates = sign shows an error

hi

i have two related entities

1) Items

2) Brands

i am trying to use the lookup function on the brands entity to show the Brand Name as text (which should be a delegable fn and delegable delegable predicates)

LookUp(Brands,PrimaryId = ThisItem.Brands_).BrandName

but the equal sign (=) is underlined with a red line and it tells that this is an invalid argument type?

so what am i doing wrong, i am not sure?!!

appreciate your help

Re: lookup function delegable predicates = sign shows an error

Hi @mokhawaja,

Please change the formula as below:

LookUp(Brands,PrimaryId = ThisItem.Brands_.PrimaryId).BrandName

Hi

Can you change from = to "in" or "exactin"

Re: lookup function delegable predicates = sign shows an error

Hi @mokhawaja,

I didn't find the Brands entity in system entity, so here you are using the custom entity?

Would you please share more details about the PrimaryId Field and the Brands_ Field type?

The type should match with each other if you use the "=" here.

    1. primary Id.....number (key)
    2. Item Name....text
    3. Pharmaceutical form... text
    4. Strength.....text
    5. Brand.......lookup to the Brands entity
  2. Brands entity:
    1. primary id......number (key)
    2. Brand Name....Text
    3. Vendor.....picklist
