make sure dropdowns have a value selected

I have 2 dropdowns on a screen(not bound to a form)

I have a button with this current code.

If(IsBlank(Topics_Input.Selected.Result) || Subtopic_Input.Selected.Result ="<Select Drop Down>", UpdateContext({visible:false}),UpdateContext({visible:true}))

What I need:

The default value for both dropdowns is "<Select Drop Down>"

if they have not selected a value other than the default, in either one,

I need a stop to correct the mistake and make a selection.
Thanks

Dave

Re: make sure dropdowns have a value selected

@DAVIDPOWELL

I am not clear on your exact scenario, but it sound like you have a Button that you want to make not visible if the two DropDown's have "<Select Drop Down>" selected.

If so, then I would have you consider the following Formula for your visible property of the button:

(Topics_Input.Selected.Result = "<Select Drop Down>") ||
(Subtopic_Input.Selected.Result ="<Select Drop Down>")

 I believe you might be thinking you can set the visible property with an updateContext statement?? If so, that is not an option in PowerApps.

I hope this is helpful for you.
