month name from current date

Hi,  I'm trying to display in a label the current month name.

My formula is:

Month(Date()))

and the result is 4

But if want "april" instead of 4 and i try whit this formula

Text(Month(Now());"mmmm")

But the result is "january"

🤔

Where am i wrong?

Thanks

Marco

@marpisa

This formula should work...

Text(Today(), "mmmm")

I came across a similar scenario and I was able to achieve it with following expression.

formatDateTime(utcNow(), 'MMMM')

I have to show current month in drop down. right now all month names are hard coded in drop down item property. I want to show current month as default value of that dropdown.

Can you help to recover the previous month's name?
