on hold status

Need help on the below situation

I created a Toggle Button for checking "ON HOLD" status when other Datacard value("Status" field) is change to "ON HOLD"

I have set the Default value of the Toggle to varONHOLD

AlmogM_0-1680500893490.png

On the "Status" field datacard value for the onChange I wrote the below

If(DataCardValue26.Selected.Value = "ON HOLD", UpdateContext({varONHOLD: true}) );

AlmogM_1-1680501013233.png

Now the action is working - when moving to ON HOLD status the toggle button is set to True but if I change the status more than one time the toggle button is revert back to false what I don't want to happen

Is there an option to set it to True and once this happen to keep it on True for good ?

Thanks

Almog

it's keeping the value as TRUE not for all the Status value changes (after 2 times of change(2 rehearsals)  it's returning to FALSE)

ON HOLD = TRUE - 1st change

WIP = TRUE - 2 change

COMPLETE = FALSE - 3rd change

what's not working right?

@AlmogM ,

It is being changed somewhere else - actually your original code should have worked. The logic of this

If(
   DataCardValue26.Selected.Value = "ON HOLD" && !varONHOLD,
   UpdateContext({varONHOLD: true})
);

is that it will only trigger (the variable will only change) if "ON HOLD" is chosen AND varONHOLD is currently false

Put varONHOLD into your Search function and see what code changes it to false.

@AlmogM ,

It should change to true the first time ONHOLD is selected then stay true after that no matter what is selected. You can refer to itself like this

If(
   Self.Selected.Value = "ON HOLD" && !varONHOLD,
   UpdateContext({varONHOLD: true})
);

What you are asking for is quite unusual, but technically should work with this code. The fact it is working twice suggests a bug (not something you can fix) or a corrupt control (delete and add a new one).

Unfortunately this is not working for me

Thanks

@AlmogM ,

I tested this through 10 cycles of selections and it was set to true when ON HOLD was selected, then remained true no matter what was selected after that.

UpdateContext(
   {
      varONHOLD:
      Self.Selected.Value = "ON HOLD" ||
      varONHOLD
   }
)

I have tried this out on new list and still not working as I want but i found out something that maybe this causing the issue

Move an Item to ON HOLD status and the onhold value was set to TRUE - checked(see below)

AlmogM_0-1681646800020.png

but when I want to edit it the Toggle is already set to False

AlmogM_2-1681646891880.png

do you know why? how can I keep this toggle button as it was last time(TRUE)

thanks

Almog

@AlmogM ,
Assuming the Default of the toggle is varONHOLD and the code I supplied is on the OnChange of the Combo Box, then, it should stay selected on. If it is being set to false, then something else is doing this. I am sorry, but I cannot duplicate the issue here.
