I have a need to automate an email flow in a particular way. We use office365. Ideally what i need is to be able to forward an email to another email, but also attach the original email to itself as an attachment. The catch is that the forwarded email needs to have the original subject and body as well.
there is an option in OWA and inbox sweep rules that allows an email to be forwarded as an attachment however the forwarded email is blank (empty email with the original email as an attachment)
i was hoping this automation would be possible with powerapps/flow. does anyone know if it is?
For forward Email, that could be done with the Microsoft Flow., but there is limitation for saving the Email as attachments.
To keep the original Email Subject and the body is possible through Microsoft Flow, but saving the Email in Attachments would require to save the Email in MSG or EMLformat, which is currently not supported.
After the when a new Email arrives trigger, add the Send Email Action, specify the Email for the Email account that you would like to forward the Email, add the Subject and Body content, then click Advanced Options, specify the Attachment Name and the Body field(use the search for dynamic content).
Note:Under the Subject, you could add FW: TextInput before the Subject content.
Doing in this way would have the Email sent by copying the corresponding Subject and the Email Body, but for the Attachment, it will save it in HTML format.
Hope this information is helpful.
