Hi,
I am using Model Driven Applications and trying to create a New Form. Getting the following error. I have tried with a couple of different accounts. Is this a problem specific to me or is it a general service availability problem.
SessionID: 48db6d80-20b9-11ea-8497-d5ee42c73025
Error: GraphQL error: {"code":"500","message":"Bad Request - Error in query syntax.","serverErrorCode":"0x8006088a","isParsedMCLError":true,"httpStatusCode":"500","expectedHttpStatusCode":false} at Anonymous function (https://content.powerapps.com/resource/makerx/static/js/module/form-designer.92151b27.chunk.js:1198:...) at Generator.prototype.throw (native code) at E (https://content.powerapps.com/resource/makerx/static/js/module/form-designer.92151b27.chunk.js:1195:...) at a (https://content.powerapps.com/resource/makerx/static/js/module/form-designer.92151b27.chunk.js:1195:...)
Generally, Is there a site I can use to check on Power Apps service availability?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Tech support ticket was with Dynamics 365 group. Just finished with them. They reproduced the error on their end and will inform their dev team. In the meantime, they gave me two workarounds, both of which avoid the App Designer, which seems to be the problem:
I'm also exploring the Power Apps platform as a potential solution for my consulting customers. I'm more focused on Power BI, but sometimes we have to develop some business apps and I was just trying to see how well the rest of the Power stack would fare. My initial impression is that the vision is quite compelling, but the execution is lacking. Lot of moving parts and some conk out along the way. Probably a symptom of platform immaturity. Power BI is feeling adequately mature. Power Apps less so.
What do you do?
I'm getting the same thing this morning. I can create a new form if a form of that type already exists (e.g. Quick create or Quick view or Main), but in a custom entity that has the setting Enable Quick Create forms = True, when I try to create a Quick Create form, I get the same error as you. I attach it here in order to provide further information to the tech support team.

We ran into a problem opening the form. Please try refreshing.

Hi @ghdunn ,
Currently, there is no problem to open the form.
Could you please check if that issue is fixed on your side?

hi @v-siky-msft
Still not working I am afraid...tried in different browsers...Edge and Firefox. The same error. The url says 'legacyAppDesigner'...should i be opening in a new interface? if so how would i access that?
(any luck @JeffN ?)
thanks
gerald
And i will add Chrome and IE to the list of browsers for which it will not work. And I misstated in previous post - I can't create ANY kind of form for ANY entity, custom or standard. What gives??!!!
Still a problem for you? I entered a support ticket just now...
yes...still the same @JeffN
its not a crisis for me, as I am just evaluating Dynamics/Model Driven apps and there are other things I can be getting on with. I was wondering if it was to do with browser, or account but have tried combinations of all. My next thinking is to do with a trial account?
I know this is a newbie question but on what site have you raised a ticket?
More generally...what are you working on? worth comparing notes?

my situation sounds similar...and I have a similar opinion on the maturity of the platform.
I am a PM/BA working for a niche FS consultancy in the city...evaluating sharepoint lists vs CDS vs Dynamics to provide a 'company in a box' app for their CRM, Programme Office, maybe billing etc. I have always bemoaned my lack of technical skills to deliver end to end solutions but Power Platform has given me a new lease of life.
ghdunn@outlook.com if you want to hook up.
fyi..I eventually raised a call and worked this this through with (I am guessing L3). They gave me a solution as a fix, and say this will be rolled out on January 10th 2020.
I therefore can't explain why it was working for you and not for me.....perhaps in the classic view rather than the unified interface?
Thanks anyway.
@JeffNI am guessing you got to the same point with your call?
