saving info inside gallery item

Hello All:

I have create a gallery where I add items using the Fx Patch connected to a excel table. My question is how can save/storage info on the Text Fields that are inside of each gallery item ? so then when I close the app and I open it again this info is still there,

The condition is I need to use Patch and not Collect since my collleges need to have access to gallery information.

Any idea will be great

Thank you!

Galleries don't hold information, they display information retrieved from a data source or local collection.  So to save information that will be saved in a gallery between sessions you need to add it to the data source.  In your case that would be Excel.

So What I understood is like put a gallery inside other gallery? but how can I link this new gallery to the selected item from Main gallery? IDK if I am explaining well

You can add a second gallery to the screen and use the selected Item from the first gallery to filter records for the second gallery.  This is often done for a parent/child relationship in a data base.  For example the first gallery might be a list of orders and the second one a list of line items in the order that is selected in the first gallery.  But I don't normally put one gallery inside another.  It can be done, but is usually a performance drain trying to update all the embedded galleries for every record.  If you keep them seperate then the secondary gallery will refresh each time you change the selected record in the first gallery, but at that point it is only trying to retrieve a small specific set of records.

Thank you, I think I getting the point now, is it possible you can give me an idea of commands for filter records between galleries?

Thank you for your time.

For the Items property of the second gallery just use a regular filter on a column that shares values between the two data sources.  So for example if I had an OrderID column in both data sources that was the Foreign key that defined the relationship then the items property in the second Gallery would be something like this

Filter(DataSource2,OrderId = Gallery1.Selected.OrderID)
